What is College Life…?
WELCOME TO COLLEGES ….
There’s definitely a lot of fun, but that isn’t the entire picture.
One week in college, and you know it is nothing like the movies. There are assignments, deadlines, and one exam after another that don’t let you feel like you’re out of school yet.
Class notes: Thanks to technological improvements! The lectures are not restricted to the endless talks by your lecturers but also extends to powerpoint presentations and animations and videos etc etc.
Assignments: Assignment- if you know something too well.Assignments on paper, assignments in the form of power-points assignments through email- welcome to the world of assignments for anything and everything.
Attendance: Attendance will be your worst nightmare ever. It overtakes your semester exam fears too.
Your journey towards the destination- END SEMESTER: Your final semester is not the only exam you face. And this ride consist of cycle test, surprise test, mock test, slip test, unit test, pre-internals test, internals 1, internals 2 (or even more maybe, it depends), end semester etc. You name it, we have it.
Dress code: Yes, you read it right. Our colleges come with dress code. Or even worse, uniforms (some colleges do)
Distance: You have to sacrifice your whole day basically because our colleges are located in the extreme borders of our city. For example: Considering Chennai colleges and universities, you might actually end up visiting the borders too.
Lecturers: DO NOT EARN THE HATRED OF A LECTURER. YOU WILL FACE THE CONSEQUENCES LATER.
You will definitely enjoy your three/four years of college life here no doubt. But keep your expectations low. It aint no fairy tale and its definitely not the way the movies portray colleges. Its an over exaggeration if I’m not wrong.
Life Hack:-You have made specific emphasis on things/practices, college functioning etc. I have literally understood the meaning and I guess this is what you meant. Apart from all these, if you ask me, I would still (with a smile on my face) say, ‘Welcome to India and have the best time of your life :)’.
